Lots of Birthdays...

I need lots of birthday cards for June and July. Here is one I made using another Hero Arts set. It was quick and easy.  I stamped the candles, colored with Copics and cut them out. Then I ran a piece of Basic Grey paper through the Cuttlebug to emboss it, distressed it a bit with some Tim Holtz ink and pasted it on the card. Then added the candles. Easy peasy and I'm done. I thought that this card was too simple to submit for the HA challenge, so I passed. Anyway, thanks for looking. Hope you have a great weekend!

Go Warriors!

I created this scrapbook layout of my niece and nephew. They are "sporting" their school hats and they are all smiles. :) Their school's mascott name is Warriors. This pic is from last year right before school started. Time sure does fly because the school year is almost over now. Hope you're having a great week!

Hero Arts May Challenge

Here's another card I am submitting for the Hero Arts May challenge. I stamped the little girl and colored her with Copic markers and then cut her out. I also stamped just the bottom of the card with the HA polka dot background stamp. And I used Basic Grey's new Cappella paper. Such a great collection! I used an older HA stamp to stamp the greeting on the balloon. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you're having a great weekend.

My Life @ 6

I made this layout of one of my nephews. I have lots of nieces and nephews!  I saw this idea of a question and answer scrapbook layout on Nichol Magouirk's blog.  My nephew, Luke, answered all the questions. He is 6 years old and that's why I titled it: My Life @ 6. I used Basic Grey paper, EK Success punch and the Slice for the white tags. I also used the Cuttlebug for the embossed numbers at the bottom in blue and I painted chipboard letters for the title. I painted them in blue to match his Colts jersey in the pic. Do you remember what your favorite toy was when you were 6?  :-)   If so, leave me a comment. I'd love to hear about it.

More Hero Arts....

I got out one of my Hero Arts cling stamp sets that I bought back around Valentine's day to create this card. I wanted to make a simple card. I stamped and colored the bird with Copic markers and cut her out. I had to cut off the bird's legs because I wanted her to look like she is flying. :)  I also used a HA background stamp with their shadow ink and a die cut for the shape. Finished it off with a bit of twine.

Late for Mother's Day...

I didn't have a chance to post this earlier, but better late than never, right? :)  I created this Mother's Day card and gift bag for my Mother-in-law. She's a super lady! It's so nice to have great in-laws!  My Mother-in-law loves cats - so what better to use on her card than Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers paper? I started with a bag I got when I purchased some hair products and turned it into a gift bag to match the card.

The original bag:

The bag after I added to it:

I love to reuse random things like this bag and make them look better.  :)  Thanks for stopping by.

Love the Big Flower stamp....

I just love this Hero Arts big flower stamp. I can't seem to put it down. :)  Here is another card I created for the Hero Arts May challenge. I colored the flower with Copics again and used Glossy Accents for the center of the flower. This time I used some of the Basic Grey Kioshi paper and some ribbon. Thanks for dropping by.

Matching....

I created this card and matching gift bag for the Hero Arts May challenge.  I love their Big Flower stamp. It's a great stamp to use with Copic markers.  I stamped the flower, colored it with Copics and then stamped the flower again on patterned paper for the center of the flower. I cut out the center section only, added some Glossy Accents and pop-dotted it to add more dimension.  Glossy Accents is another one of my favorite products now.  I also used some of the new Basic Grey paper collections, both Basics Manila and Max & Whispers (for the striped section).  I've said it before and I'll say it again, Hero Arts and Basic Grey are two of my favorite companies!  :)  Thanks for dropping by.

National Scrapbook Day

May 1st was National Scrapbook Day.  Hero Arts is having a contest for NSD so I created this layout for it. This is my nephew, Davey, and he loves racing!  And since May is one of the big racing months in Indy, I thought this page would be appropriate - even though he likes nascar better than the Indy 500. But hey, racing is racing to me.  :)

Thanks for dropping by. Hope you had time to create something for National Scrapbook Day!
