Happy Birthday Virginia!

My sweet, online friend, Virginia, is celebrating a milestone birthday this year. The big five-0!  Yay!  She's having a virtual b-day party. If you haven't joined in the fun yet, check it out here.

Anyway, I chose to make the card below for Virginia because I love her whimsical and colorful cards. Virginia has so many good qualities, but my favorites are her sense of humor, and her never-ending positive and encouraging attitude. She always leaves such sweet comments on my blog and that warms my heart. Also, any time I visit her blog, it makes me laugh!  Love all the humor!

Virginia, I hope we can meet in person sometime, maybe in FL in the winter - thus the palm tree and snowman on my card! :)  I just know we'd have a great time and lots of laughs. Happy Birthday, my friend! You're the best, and I hope you have the best day ever!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving week!  I hope you all get to enjoy some quality time with family and friends tomorrow. Here are a couple of Thanksgiving cards I made for my parents and my in-laws.

On this first card, I had made the ATC with the turkey and flower on it and then decided to add the ATC to a full size card. I used Hero Arts stamps, as usual and added some lace. It's hard to tell, but I clear embossed the Large Fabric Design stamp for the background of the card.

This second card is very simple, but I love the patterned paper for the background and the added twine bow.

Trying to Get Caught Up

Well I'm still trying to get caught up with life after our  move, so I don't have a card to share today. I do have some fun news though. My "Art is the Tree of Life" project was featured on the Aussie Scrap Source blog. Check it out here.

I'm hoping to make some cards this weekend and get something posted here. :)  I hope you have a great weekend!

I'm back....

Well, we've moved and are almost settled in. My craft area is still a work in progress though, so I thought I'd share a card I made before the move. I added "Happy Birthday" on the front, but didn't get an updated pic after I added the sentiment. Wasn't sure what box my camera was in. ha!  I used Bella Blvd papers. So cute!  My niece loves dogs so I gave her this card for her birthday.

I hope you are doing well. I'm hoping to be able to do some blog hopping again soon.
