Circles and more circles

I created this card for the Hero Arts contest this month. I decided to try something different. I was trying to use up some of the scraps on my craft desk.  This is what I came up with.  It's a little wacky, but I think I like it. :)  What do you think?

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Do you love Vellum?

I finally tried stamping and embossing on vellum. I've been wanting to try this for awhile, but haven't had the time. I love the Hero Arts big flower stamp. It looks great on vellum. I added pink for the background to make the flower pop!  Sorry for the bad photo. I didn't have much natural light when I took the pic.

It's Thursday already. Hope you're all having a great week! I'm ready for the weekend, but then again, I always am. :)

More purple

Hello. Another weekend, come and gone. Sigh....  Here's a card I created for my niece's birthday coming up in September. Apparently I'm stuck on purple.  I used 3 different Hero Arts stamps, Copic markers and Basic Grey paper. All of my favorite things. :)  Hope you have a great week!

Well Hello Hydrangea...

Hello! Just another quick post. I created this card using the Hero Arts hydrangea stamp. I love this stamp. I used Copic markers to color it and then cut it out. I also used TH distress inks for the edges of the Basic Grey paper. I finished it off with some ribbon, pearls and a fiskars border punch. The hydrangea is pop-dotted on the card to give it some dimension. Lots of purple, but I still think I like it. :)

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the sweet comments!  I really appreciate them.

Lots of Kites

Hello! I decided to join the challenge on the CARDS blog this week and make a card with kites. I love the Up, Up and Away stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I also love this little girl from the Hero Arts set called You're the Best. I combined them to make this card:

I colored the little girl with Copics and used distress ink on the hill she's standing on. I used the cloud die cut from Papertrey. Love that die!  I also used my craft knife to cut the little girl's hand so I could thread the twine through so she looks like she is holding the kite string.  Anyway, I thought this could also be used for the Card Style Fun and Cute Challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog. Once again, I purposely left off the sentiment because I'm not sure what I will use this card for yet.  Hope you're having a great week. Almost time for the weekend!

Hey Dude!

I made this card for my nephew's birthday in August. He'll be 12. I thought this card might be appropriate (and fun) since he loves to play Guitar Hero.  :)   I'm loving my new sentiment stamps from PaperTrey Ink. I used some Basic Grey paper for the background and the Star stamp and notecard are from Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping by. Your comments always make my day!

Shower wishes...

My youngest sister, Jenn, is getting married this year! Yippeee!  We are all thrilled to death!  Anyway, her shower is coming up soon and I made this card for her. I wanted the dress to stand out, so I used a black polka dot paper from Me and My Big Ideas for the background. I had to throw in some hot pink though to spice it up a bit. :)  I added glitter to the ribbon on the dress and pearls to the neckline.  Also the pearl in the center of the white flower is a pink heart. This card looks so much better in real life. Stop by my house if you want to see the real thing. teehee... :)

Hope your week is going great!
