Liebster Award

This week I received a message from Linda, who told me she had awarded me with:

Thanks so much Linda for your kind words! If you haven't seen Linda's blog yet, go take a look. She makes  some amazing cards!

The Liebster Blog award was created for blogs with less than 200 followers. I have seen this award circulate many times but this is the first time I received it myself. With this award comes responsibilities. haha. :)

I have to:
1: Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you. Thanks Linda!
2: Reveal my five blog picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3: Copy and paste the award (see above) on my blog.
4: Hope that those that I award, forward it on to their favorite bloggers.

I have done 1, 2 and 3. Number 2 was hard. There are so many wonderful blogs out there. I wish I could just give everyone the Liebster Award, but since I can't, here are the 5 blogs in no particular order.

I hope you'll have a chance to go check out their blogs. And thanks again Linda!  Have a great weekend everyone!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge 42

I finally had a chance to play along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week.

I made this baby card. I'm not sure if it's a CAS card, but it is a baby card. :)  I used an older stamp set from Hero Arts as well as a newer set for the little dog and bird. I also used an SRM sticker for letters (Thanks Virginia!)

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you don't have a "case of the Mondays." Remember that from the Office Space movie?  Makes me laugh every time I hear that.

supplies: Hero Arts stamps, SRM Sticker, Basic Grey paper, TH distress inks, Copic markers, We R Memory Keepers paper

Digi Tulip

Hey there! I created this card awhile back with the digi tulip image from Hero Arts. I printed it on white cardstock and then colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out. I also used Hero Arts layering paper for the pink background panel. This is another card that reminds me of Spring. I love tulips. :)

I will be doing a giveaway soon! I have collected a few stamps and other random crafty things. I just need to take a photo and post it here on the blog. Hope you will come back to join in the fun!  :)

Flowers, Flower Pots and Spring....

I made this card because I'm so ready to see spring and summer flowers. :)  I love this new stamp/die cut set from Hero Arts.  The top of the flower pot has a fuzzy texture and was from a Starbucks gift card holder. I recycled it for my card.  I used Jennifer McGuire's technique of stamping the same type of flower in green ink and then cutting out the petals to be used as leaves. And I used the Hero Arts Classic Fabric stamp with Hero Arts Latte chalk ink to stamp the flower pot.

Don't these flowers make you think of spring?  :)

I Love Sunshine!

I made this card because I absolutely LOVE sunshine. :)  I used my Silhouette to die cut the sun and cloud shapes. I was so happy to see it was picked as one of the Fab Five winners for the Hero Arts February contest. Yay! Happy day for me.  :)

Hope your day has been happy too!

Supplies: Authentique paper, TH Distress Inks, Hero Arts stamps, Silhouette SD, Copic marker (for beak), black gems

Sending Hugs for Valentine's Day

I created this card for my niece for Valentine's Day. I was playing with some older stamps and the greeting is from a new Hero Arts stamp set, called XO. It's a great greeting set! I added Glossy Accents to the hearts to give them some dimension.

Hope your week is going well. :)

February Birthdays....

Hello! We're back from Florida and we miss it already! :)  Although this winter has been very mild here, we still would rather be in the 70 and 80 degrees in Florida. So nice!  We also loved not going to work. ha!  Anyway, we're back and I'm back to crafting. I made this card for my nephew's birthday. We have lots of February birthdays.

I used the stars from an older Hero Arts set and the new newspaper owl stamp. Love him. :)

Hope you're having a great week and you have a wonderful weekend! Superbowl is in Indianapolis this year so traffic has been crazy around here this week!
