Peace, Joy and Love

I decided to create a scrapbook layout since I haven't in awhile.  I used some of the new Basic Grey Nordic  Holiday papers and the older Origins paper to scrap this photo card of my niece and nephew from 2010.  The Peace, Joy, Love image was cut from the Silhouette and it's a Kerri Bradford design. I also cut the trees using the Silhouette and then stamped them with the Hero Arts Magical Background stamp.

Chuck-E-Cheese

I've never been to Chuck-E-Cheese, but I hear that all kids love it!  My nephew had his "kids" birthday party there this year and this is my niece with some character....who I'm assuming is Chuck-E-Cheese himself.   :)  I'm clueless about Chuck-E-Cheese so I don't even know if that's correct, but I liked the photo of Hannah so I decided to make a layout.

Good Times.....

Hello! Sorry for the long hiatus from blog posting!  I've been out of town and working and helping my sister with her wedding stuff - seating placement cards, etc. I'm hoping to make some time to post pics of them when I get them done. Anyway, in the mean time, I thought I'd post this scrapbook layout that I did a while ago.  These are 3 of my nephews at one of their b-day parties. Once again I used BoBunny papers and chipboard. Hello! and a Back to School Layout

Hello! I had a little time for stamping this weekend so I decided to create a layout and a card for the Hero Arts challenge this month. I created this layout of my niece and nephew. They just started school last week. I used the Simply the Best stamp set to stamp the apples, colored them with copics, added Glossy Accents and cut them out for embellishments. I also used the "Rember this" circle stamp from the Travel set (blog candy from my sweet friend Virginia) and added a title. I used the Hero Hues paper (orange) for the first time. I ran it through my CB with a die cut and it cuts like butter. :)  The row of apples is actually ribbon from TPC Studio to match the paper. Cute! Sorry about the wonky pic. I didn't have much light to work with so I had to place the layout on the seat of a folding chair. :)  My niece, Hannah, loves to hold up the peace sign in all her photos now. Cracks me up.

On to the card now. I love the Silly scape stamp, but boy is it a lot of work to color like this! :)  I used the Hero Hues paper to make this notecard. I used TH distress inks to make the sky look more sunny at the top. I also used tumbled glass to ink around the clouds and I added some Glossy Accents on the balloon. The clouds are die cuts and the balloon is a stamp I colored with Copics - they're both from PaperTrey Ink. I used the Hello! greeting from one of my older HA stamp sets - the 2x3 Home set.

Girly, You Rock!

Happy Thursday!  I picked up some BoBunny papers along with some of their stickers and chipboard at my local Archivers a few weeks ago and decided to create a layout of my niece, Grace.  I love this pic of Grace! I used the PaperTrey Ink Signature Greetings stamp set by Dawn McVey to add a small title to the page. It says, "Girly, You Rock!" and I thought that was fitting for this photo.  :)  It's hard to see in the picture, but I used the Tim Holtz distress tool for the edges of the orangish/yellow paper and I even did some faux stitching on this layout.

My Life @ 6

I made this layout of one of my nephews. I have lots of nieces and nephews!  I saw this idea of a question and answer scrapbook layout on Nichol Magouirk's blog.  My nephew, Luke, answered all the questions. He is 6 years old and that's why I titled it: My Life @ 6. I used Basic Grey paper, EK Success punch and the Slice for the white tags. I also used the Cuttlebug for the embossed numbers at the bottom in blue and I painted chipboard letters for the title. I painted them in blue to match his Colts jersey in the pic. Do you remember what your favorite toy was when you were 6?  :-)   If so, leave me a comment. I'd love to hear about it.

The Best Mom!

I created this scrapbook page for my Mom for Mother's Day. This is a photo of my Mom, my 3 sisters and me on our last girls trip. So sorry brothers, but you didn't make the photo shoot. heehee. :)  I was very honored to see that my layout was chosen on the Scrapbooks & Cards Today blog for the "Mother's Day reader's submissions" post.  Here is my layout.

My Mom is and has always been a great mom!  Happy Mother's Day Mom! You're the best!  And Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

National Scrapbook Day

May 1st was National Scrapbook Day.  Hero Arts is having a contest for NSD so I created this layout for it. This is my nephew, Davey, and he loves racing!  And since May is one of the big racing months in Indy, I thought this page would be appropriate - even though he likes nascar better than the Indy 500. But hey, racing is racing to me.  :)

Basketball in Indiana

If you know anything about Indiana, you know that basketball is BIG here.  :)  My niece is on the school basketball team and was mentioned in an article in the local newspaper a few weeks ago. Go Meg!  I created this scrapbook layout of the article and her picture. I printed the article on cardstock. I also used some of my favorite star stamps from Hero Arts for added dimension on the layout.

Butterflies & Glossy Accents

Two of my favorite companies are Basic Grey and Hero Arts.  I combined them to create this scrapbook layout of one of my nieces. I have several nieces! She has the prettiest strawberry blonde hair. The butterfly that landed in her hair matches perfectly!  :)

I used Hero Arts stamps for the butterflies and then colored them with Copic markers, cut them out, and put Ranger's Glossy Accents on them to make them thicker and shiney. The background paper and the flower/grass paper at the bottom is from Basic Grey's new "Green at Heart" collection.

Pagemaps Sketch Challenge

I decide to create this layout for the Pagemaps blog sketch challenge.  The challenge was to create a page about appreciation that was based on the sketch (see below) and included journaling.  This is a picture of me and my husband on our 13th anniversary last year.

Snow Fun!

I created this scrapbook page of my niece and nephew. They were having some "snow fun" on their snowmobile. It's been snowing again this week. I'm just hoping for an early spring.  I used my Slice to cut out the snowflakes. Thanks for dropping by.

I created this scrapbook page and framed it for my brother for his birthday. We have lots of family, so I had to go with a collage type page to fit a lot of photos so I could include all the family members. I learned this technique from Laura Vegas. Love her scrapbook pages.
