Card Patterns Sketch 61

I used my other new stamp to create this card for the Card Patterns contest. I LOVE this Hero Arts stamp! I used Copic markers to color the flower and leaves. This stamp is so pretty on it's own, so I made the card very simple. I rotated the sketch.

New Stamps - Flowers and more flowers....

I was given some "oh so pretty" Hero Arts stamps for my birthday this month. Thank you to my sweet in-laws! Once I received these in the mail, I just had to ink them up and get to making cards!  Here's what I came up with. I used the wood block Flower Medley stamp with Zing embossing powder for this first card. Then I colored in the flowers with Copic markers.

And for this card, I used the wood block Dogwood stamp.  I stamped and colored with Copic markers and then cut the flowers out and pop-dotted them to add some dimension to the card. I purposely left the sentiments off of these cards so I can use them for whatever comes up (birthday, thank you, cards for friends, etc.)

CARDS blog, Woodgrain & Earth Day

I made this card for the CARDS blog contest. The contest was to use woodgrain on your card. I used stamps from my all time favorite company, Hero Arts.  And since last week was Earth Day, I have to mention that Hero Arts is a "green" company. I was so honored to see that my card was featured this week.

Also, because I didn't get a chance to post this on Earth Day, I'm posting now.  Here are some pics of one of the beautiful trees in our yard and one of my favorite spring flowers, tulips. Thanks for dropping by.

Basketball in Indiana

If you know anything about Indiana, you know that basketball is BIG here.  :)  My niece is on the school basketball team and was mentioned in an article in the local newspaper a few weeks ago. Go Meg!  I created this scrapbook layout of the article and her picture. I printed the article on cardstock. I also used some of my favorite star stamps from Hero Arts for added dimension on the layout.

Card Patterns Sketch 59 + Hero Arts

Card Patterns has teamed up with Hero Arts this week.  Here is the sketch and here is the card I made using some of my Hero Arts stamps and Cosmo Cricket paper. I created this card for the Hero Arts April challenge. I heat embossed the heart stamp with Zing embossing powder (great stuff!) on kraft paper and then cut it out. I used the Hero Arts Truly Appreciated clear set for the sentiment.  Love that set too! Thanks for stopping by.

CPS Sketch 161

I created this card for the CPS Sketch 161. CPS is featuring Hero Arts this week. I used Hero Arts stamps and Basic Grey paper....again!  :)

Butterflies & Glossy Accents

Two of my favorite companies are Basic Grey and Hero Arts.  I combined them to create this scrapbook layout of one of my nieces. I have several nieces! She has the prettiest strawberry blonde hair. The butterfly that landed in her hair matches perfectly!  :)

I used Hero Arts stamps for the butterflies and then colored them with Copic markers, cut them out, and put Ranger's Glossy Accents on them to make them thicker and shiney. The background paper and the flower/grass paper at the bottom is from Basic Grey's new "Green at Heart" collection.
