Archiver's One-of-a-Kind Wall Art Contest

I'm very excited about this - it's big news for me! I entered a photo tray in the Archiver's One of a Kind Wall Art contest and my photo tray won for the southside Indianapolis, Indiana, Archiver's store. I can't tell you how thrilled I was when the Store Manager called to tell me I won.  I was over-the-top excited!  :)  The next step is to send my tray to the Archiver's at the Mall of America and the folks who attend Scrapfest 2011 in September will get the chance to vote on their favorite trays. There will be one from each of the Archiver's stores, so there will be 45 trays. Wow!  Anyway, if you are planning to attend Scrapfest, I would soooo appreciate your votes.

I used Hero Arts stamps and Basic Grey paper. Two of my favorite companies.  I also used stamps from Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday and some of the new Amy Tangerine fabric Thickers. Part of my title was cut with the Sihouette using one of Kerri Bradford's kits.

If you'd like to see the details a little more clearly, click on the photo to enlarge it. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing in my excitement!

I created this card for the Tuesday Trigger: Girly and Glitzy on the Moxie Fab blog. Here is the inspiration photo.

And here is my card. I added some sparkle pen and gems to the chandelier to 'glitz' it up some. :)

Have you had a chance to play along?  Have a great weekend!

CAS-ual Fridays 2 in 1 Challenge

I'm submitting this card for the CAS-ual Fridays 2 in 1 challenge

I used distress inks and spritzed them with water to stamp this image on watercolor paper. I think the blue and green looks serene together.

Have you played along with the CAS-ual Friday challenge yet?

Birthdays and more birthdays...

I made this card awhile ago for my brother for his birthday. I love this Hero Arts Going stamp set. Too cute! I paired the truck with some Jillibean Soup patterned paper. Love all the different colors of blue.

Also, I'm very excited that my photo trays are featured on the Aussie Scrap Source blog. Check it out.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you're having a great day!

Sizzling Summer

I've submitted this card for the Hero Arts August challenge. This little owl is one of my favorite stamps. I always put Glossy Accents on his sunglasses to make them look more real. I love the Beetle car too.  I guess this little owl is waiting on the side of the road for a ride. heehee...  :)

I'm also submitting this for the BasicGrey Sizzling Summer challenge. I used several different BasicGrey paper collections on this including Life of the Party, Lime Rickey and Mellow.

Thanks for dropping by. Your comments always make my day!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Glitzy Glue Dots

I'm playing along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge again. This week's challenge is to add glitter using Glue Dots to a card.  I colored the beach ball with Copic markers and then added a few glue dots and some Martha Stewart glitter to it.  I'm also going to enter this into the Hero Arts August challenge which is to create a scene.

I used several different Hero Arts stamps from several different sets. I really like how it turned out.

Have you played along with either of these challenges yet?  If not, now is the time.  :)

Christmas in August

I ordered a new Christmas stamp set from Hero Arts. Several people requested a nativity type stamp set and as always Hero Arts listened to their customers and created one.  Here is the first Christmas card I've made this year. I usually don't start this early, but I wanted to try out my new stamp set.  I used several different colors of TH Distress Inks.  This is one of those cards that looks much better in real life. Oh well, you get the idea.

Have you started on your Christmas cards yet or are you still hanging out at the pool?  :)

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

I finally got the change to play in the CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

The challenge was to make a tall card and here is what I came up with. It's a card for my nephew's birthday this month so I tried to make it more masculine.  I love this Lawn Fawn stamp from the Fanciful Frames set. The star stamps are Hero Arts. I used colored pencils to color in the frame and I also used some Jillibean Soup patterned paper.

Have you been able to play along with this challenge?
