I wanted to use up some scraps that have been sitting on my desk, so I created this 4x4 card. I didn't even use one stamp on it. Hard to believe. :) Hope you're having a great weekend! Have you been watching the NCAA?? Go Butler! :)

Photo Trays
I made this photo tray for my sister. She got married in September and I gave this to her for Christmas. I just realized that I never posted it here, so thought I'd post it now. I used a 7 Gypsies tray and lots of different embellishments including some Hero Arts stamps. I included part of her wedding program, a tag that was attached to the wedding favors and of course some very cute pictures. I love it that she wore red shoes under her white gown. heehee.. :)
I'm thinking of making another one of these photo trays. It was a lot of fun to make - something different from a scrapbook layout or card. I just need to gather some photos. Hope you have a great week. It's finally spring, yay!!

Manly Birthdays...
I made this card for my brother-in-law and tried to use all "manly" colors. :) I didn't even make the hearts in the tree pink or red because I wanted it to be more masculine. What do you think?
Thanks for dropping by! I hope you're having a great week! :)

Moxie Fab World - Cityscapes Are On the Rise
I'm entering this card in the Cityscapes Are On the Rise challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog. This sillyscape stamp from Hero Arts is one of my all time favs. I also love their new Going stamp set which includes this little car.
Hope you're having a great week! It's almost the weekend, yeah! :)

Color Layering
After watching the color layering technique video on the Hero Arts blog, I decide to try it out. This is what I came up with. I used distress inks for the Garden Bouquet stamp and also used the Friend definition stamp. I paired it with lace and some Basic Grey paper, added a butterfly with pearls and called it done.
Hope you're having a great week! I'm still waiting for spring to show up here! :)

March Scrapbook Stamping Class
I was so thrilled when Nichol Magouirk asked me to play along and create a guest project for the Scrapbook Stamping monthly class at Two Peas in a Bucket. Nichol is my scrapbooking idol. :) The March class focused on using woodblock stamps. I used several Hero Arts woodblock stamps on my layout (Dogwood flower, Tall Flower, Leaf Border, Striped Canvas, Plaid Background).
All 4 girls in the picture are my nieces and each of them are from a different sibling so none of them are sisters. I love when they can all get together which isn't all that often because they don't live in the same town/city. The younger girls love to be around their older girl cousins. :) That's so nice to see. Anyway, here is the layout I created.
Thanks for stopping by. If you'd like to see the video and PDF file for Nichol's Scrapbook Stamping class, check it out here.
supplies: Hero Arts stamps, Silhouette, Heidi Grace papers, Marvy punches, Fiskars border punch, Bazill papers, TH distress inks
