Taking a Break...

As you've probably noticed, I'm taking a little blogging break. We are on vacation in Florida enjoying the nicer weather and sunshine.  It sure beats the snow and cold in Indiana!  Hope you are having a great week!  I'll try to check your blogs when I have a chance.

Lucy's Sketch Week Challenge

I made this card based on the sketch from Lucy's Sketch Week - Day 1. Check out Lucy' blog. She's the ultimate cardmaker!!  I used Hero Arts stamps - both the large plaid stamp with shadow ink for the background, and the hearts and owl stamps. I colored the owl with Copics and added some Glossy Accents for shine. The hearts are clear embossed.  I think this will be a cute Valentine's day card for one of my nieces.  :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!  I hope you all had a safe and happy New Year's Eve and wish you many blessings in 2011!  I've been playing with a new Hero Arts stamp set in the last few days and here are a couple of cards I created.  I submitted this first card for the Hero Arts December contest.

The second card I just made yesterday. I love this new Wish You Were Here stamp set. I also used the Fiskars Notebook border punch which was another Christmas gift I received. Love it!
