Moose You So Much

Hey there! Isn't this moose fun? It's another stamp from the Hero Arts Missing You set and the heart tree die cut is from Taylored Expressions. This is a card for one my nieces that doesn't live near me so I don't get to see her too often.

Virginia's View Challenge - Take 2

Hello! I decided to make another card to play along with Virginia's View challenge. I water colored the background using distress inks and water. I also used a stencil to ink in the stars. I added some sparkle with a Wink of Stella brush pen to the Hero Arts owl (from my favorite Missing You set).

Virginia's View Watercolor Challenge

Hello and happy Monday! My sweet friend, Virginia, is having a watercolor challenge over on her new challenge blog. It's called Virginia's View Challenge.

I wanted to play along so I created this card. I heat embossed an older Hero Arts Birthday background stamp and then used distress markers and water to watercolor the background. I added a few silver and gold stars and a word bubble to finish it off.

Yikes! More Birthdays!

I have been making tons of birthdays cards lately because we have lots of family birthdays in February. Now I'm moving on to the March birthdays and trying to make them more springy - even though it's still cold here. ugh! The good news is it's supposed to reach 50 degrees tomorrow! yeah!

I made this card for my niece who is turning 17. All 17 year-olds love their smart phones, don't they? Well who am I kidding, I love my smart phone too and I'm no longer 17. When I was 17, there were no smart phones! haha!  :)  Anyway, I also love this new LOL stamp from Hero Arts. Super cute! I'm going to enter this into the Hero Arts Birthday challenge in the Floral birthday cards category.

Bird on a Building Birthday

Ha, how's that for a quirky blog title?  :)  I created this card for my brother-in-law's birthday. I'm submitting it to the Hero Arts birthday challenge in the "rainbow of color" category. I used two of my older stamps that are some of my very favorites (the Silly Scape and the Radiant Banner). The green banner across the top is from a new set called For Your Kindness. The strip on the bottom of the card is washi tape and the bird is from a Lawn Fawn set.

Another Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for a good friend of mine and I'm going to enter it into the Hero Arts Birthday challenge for this month. I used the Hero Arts Dauber Bunch stamp set with different colored daubers on watercolor paper. I love how vibrant the colors turned out. I guess this would qualify for the "anything goes" category of the challenge.

I know I've said this before, but this OWH Missing You set is one of my favorite stamp sets from the 2014 catalog. I just think these sheep are adorable.  :)

On the inside of the card, I stamped "to EWE!"  :)
