I made this birthday card for another one of my nieces. Lots of September birthdays! I used some Bella Blvd papers and the greeting is an older Hero Arts stamp. I added some Sew Easy bakers twine too.
I want to thank all of you for the encouraging comments and for those who voted for my photo tray at Scrapfest last weekend. I won 2nd place and am so grateful!! My tray is shown here on the Archiver's site. The tray contains pics of several of my nieces and nephews. I told them they are all famous now. heehee... :) Have a great weekend!

Another Beetle for a Birthday
I just love this little beetle car stamp from Hero Arts. I made this card for my niece's birthday. I used some Bella Blvd patterned papers and Basic Grey paper. Aren't the trees in the background cute? :) I used a craft knife to cut out the windows of the car and then glued acetate on so it looks like real windows. ha! I wanted the balloon to look like it was floating away into the sky. And I added some faux stitching to the road.
Hope you're having a great weekend! Thanks for dropping by. :)

Santa's on his Way.....or maybe not quite yet....
I created this card for the Hero Arts August challenge. I love this Santa stamp and I used a Birthday stamp for the presents. I took off the top present that said "Happy Birthday" and made my own to say "Merry Christmas" instead. The embossed background was done using the Cuttlebug snowflake folder. I know it's a little early to work on Christmas cards, but I'm doing it anyway. :)
I hope you're having a great week and if you're going to ScrapFest this week, have a great time! Also, please see my post here. I wish I was going, but I can't. Maybe next year!

My Art Tree
I've seen the quote several times, "Art is the tree of life...." and I decided to make a home decor project based on this quote. I used a Cuttlebug leaf die cut and several different scraps of Basic Grey patterned paper. I also used the Silhouette to cut out the tree trunk. I used one of Kerri Bradford's tree and bird shapes from her Halloween Shapes kit. The digi image was just 1/2 of the tree trunk with the bird on a branch so I used the Silhouette software to copy it, then flipped the image horizontally to make a full tree trunk. I moved the two images around a bit in the software so the 2 sides didn't line up perfectly - so it would look a bit more like a real tree trunk and then welded the image together. After the Silhouette cut out the trunk from kraft paper, I distressed it with TH distress ink to give it a bit of shading. The letters are also from a Basic Grey collection and the the stamped letters are from a Hero Arts clear alpha stamp set. The background cloud paper is from Pebbles. Once it was all done, I framed it and hung it up in my art/craft room.
So, what do you think? Will you make your own tree of life? :)

Whoooo Doesn't Love Owls?
I love this owl paper from Jillibean Soup. Isn't it adorable? I created this card for one of my nephews for his birthday. It was a quick card to make.
That's all for now. :)
